Oriental Cole Slaw
Dressing
1 cup – cider vinegar
1 cup – canola oil
3/4 cup sugar
Heat vinegar in saucepan. Add sugar, stir until dissolved. Combine with oil & cool before using.
Slaw Mix
1 med head green cabbage, shredded (about 6-7 cups)
1 cup carrots, shredded
1 granny smith apple, peeled & shredded
1 bunch green onion, chopped
1 package ramen noodles, crumbled. Discard seasoning packet.
1/4 – 1/2 cup slivered almonds, optional.
Mix cabbage, carrot, apple & onion in large bowl. Add about half the dressing, toss to coat. Add additional dressing as desired. Can be stored in fridge for a few hours. Just prior to serving, toss in ramen noodles & almonds if desired.
Makes 6 to 8 cups
