The bariatric patient population is a very strong and active one, so at an event like this… non-surgical options for weight management can tend to get overlooked. So I was glad to see the folks from Takata here, where I was able to give Mark and Aaron a chance to talk about one of the pharmaceutical options out there, Contrave.
Drugs for the treatment of obesity, typically referred to as “weight loss drugs” have had some issues in the past, but just in the last few years some promising things have been happening. I am by no means an expert on this side of obesity treatment, but I know enough to say that these options aren’t for everyone, but they can be very beneficial for certain patients.
