Smart Shopping

Smart Shopping

It’s not new that eating more fruits and vegetables is an important part of a healthy diet, but do you know how to tell if that broccoli is fresh? Or how about figuring out the difference between bagged and green-top carrots? And yogurt is good for you right? But are all brands the same? And what’s all the fuss about nutrition labels?

Let’s face it, the bombardment of marketing, both in the store and on the packages can make grocery shopping confusing and over-whelming.

My Smart Shopping class provides you with the information to help you explore the the produce section with confidence, as well as demystify those nutrition labels so you can navigate the other aisles and select healthy food options for you and your family.

This Smart Shopping class is approximately two-hours and includes a bit of “classroom” learning along with lots of time spent actually browsing the aisles with hands-on experience in checking out what the store has to offer. Group classes are $35 per person and availability is limited to ensure everyone gets the attention they need to get the most out of the experience. One-on-one tours are $120 and held at the store of your choice, but enroll with up to three friends and you’ll all receive a 25% discount.

Keep an eye on the events calendar for the next Smart Shopping class held at a local grocery store - or contact me using the form below about coming to your favorite store and doing a one-on-one tour with you or you and a small group of friends.
